As a university student in Malaysia, Malaysian studies, which is called MPU subjects are compulsory for every student. Today, I am going to share my experience on one of the subject that i have taken, which is social networking.
It was very exciting also interesting when i found out we can actually use do group work online and not miss out a thing. As a design student, when it comes to group work, we usually have to gather around to get things done, hence it creates a lot of inconvenience because we will need to find location and time that everyone can access. After we learn about Google Docs and slides, i was very much surprise that how it can actually helps in group work. With the smart editing, everyone in the group can edit the document or document online at the same time! It saves our time of passing the document to every group member via offline to check on details as we all can do it online at the same time. Another benefit is we do not have to worry about forgetting to hit the SAVE! We also get to access to the document and files anytime, anywhere with any device, that save the trouble when one did not bring their own device to access.
Another good one that i have to mention is Google Drive. As a design student, we need to upload our finals to a storage to play safe or to send to many person like group mates or lecturers. Google Drives has been the best choice so far as it has great storage and easy to use! You just have to upload you file to drive and share the link to anyone who needs it and they get to download the files in two clicks.
Final yet most importantly, all the service i mentioned above, are FREE!!!
So basically these are what i gained from the class. There was actually a lot more, but i'm just pointing out the points. Thanks to the class, i get to save more time next time and trouble for group project. <3
